Experiencing an immense passion for the NBA and a keen interest in exploring design in this context, I embarked on a journey to collaborate with fellow creatives within this domain. To bring these concepts to life, I delved into mastering the intricacies of designing in Photoshop and later honed my skills in transforming static designs into captivating motion graphics.

While freelancing and personal creative ventures can sometimes be solitary, I yearned for a sense of camaraderie. Turning to Instagram, I reached out to several designers whose styles resonated with me, proposing a collaborative project. One designer, Dylan McDermott, eagerly embraced the idea and showed genuine enthusiasm for the venture.
Fortuitously, the 2023 NBA playoffs were unfolding, and the Miami Heat, led by Jimmy Butler, were on the verge of making history as the 8th seed by eliminating the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Dylan already had a graphic concept in the works, making it an ideal time to collaborate.

To align our visions, I asked Dylan if he had a specific song preference to accompany the design. He chose Lil Baby's "Real Spill," a track with a moody intro and a powerful beat drop, creating the perfect backdrop to enhance the cinematic mood we sought.
Together, we embarked on the creative journey, assembling an initial animatic draft that captured the essence of our vision. Upon sharing it with Dylan, he expressed excitement to witness our design come to life. With his approval, I delved into the final secondary motion edit, culminating in the masterpiece you see before you.

The process of creating and collaborating on this project was an absolute joy, and its success on Instagram was amplified by the impeccable timing of its release. I am proud to showcase this remarkable piece in my portfolio, a testament to the power of teamwork and creativity in the NBA design world.
